Support

How to reach the people who make Homeward.

Write to us

The one address for every question, problem or request is support@homewardbible.com. A person reads every message. Please do not send the words of a reflection; we never need them, and our servers hold no readable copy to compare against.

Inside the app, the Sacristy has a row called 'Write to the Homeward team'. It opens the Letter Box, where you can send a note and, if you want an answer, leave a reply address. Letters are the one thing the founder reads in your own words.

Who operates Homeward, and how it uses Scripture, is set out in the legal notice.

Your support code

Homeward has no account, no email and no password. Your device holds a key that stands for this copy of the app, and your support code is the short form of that key: eight characters shown under 'Support code' in the Sacristy, with a button to copy it.

Quote the code when you write about anything our servers keep for this device — a next step and its reminder, the weekly conversation meter, a sealed reply, a membership record, a notification token, or a letter you sent and its emailed copy in our support mailbox. Without it we cannot tell which rows are yours; with it we can show you what there is, correct it or delete it, after reasonable steps to verify the request.

Deleting your data

Everything Homeward keeps on the device — reflections, journal, carried notes, candles, the bell and the keys that unlock them — is erased by 'Delete Homeward data from this device' at the foot of the Sacristy. It turns both data switches off and gives the device a new key and a new support code. A membership is not lost: 'Restore purchases' brings it to the new key.

The rows our servers kept under the old key expire on the schedule in section 10 of the Privacy Policy. To have them removed sooner, email support@homewardbible.com quoting the support code you had before the erase, and we will delete what can be deleted. The billing evidence of a membership — plan, price, currency, dates and store — stays for as long as the membership record exists (section 10 sets no fixed end for that record yet), because it proves what was bought.

Membership and payments

Homeward Plus is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms; the Sacristy's Membership row leads to the store's own management screen. If a purchase you made does not show, try 'Restore purchases' first, then write to us with the support code and the store you bought from.

Accessibility

If any part of this website is hard to use, write to support@homewardbible.com and say which page and what stood in the way; the accessibility statement says what the site does and how it was tested.

If you are in danger

Homeward is a guided AI reflection, not clergy, confession, therapy or an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number — in the United States, call or text 988. Anywhere else, findahelpline.com lists a crisis line near you. When a conversation in Reflect touches on danger, the app also shows crisis resources for your device's region; please also reach a pastor, a counselor or a crisis line.
